:iconxehara: What is your definition of Body Art?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: Body art to me is when someone feels a need to express creativity with their body. Whether it's posing with your body, photographing the body, tattoos, modifications, make-up or body paint, it's all a form of self expression that creates Art.

:iconxehara: What kind of body art do you do?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: I mostly work with cosmetic make-up although I would love to try body paint in the future.

:iconxehara: How did you get started?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: I studied fine art as a bachelors degree and before finishing my studies I started modelling for photographers and posing for life drawing classes. It was shortly after completing my degree while I was participating in a lot of model work that I fell in love with the art of make-up. Since then I have been creating and learning more and more about body art.

:iconxehara: What are your tools of the trade?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: Mostly face-paints, cosmetic make-up and brushes. Lots and lots of brushes!

:iconxehara: Do you have a signature style?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: I always say less is more with my work. I don't feel I have a "signature style" just yet but it is something I hope to explore this year.

:iconxehara: Do you have any limitations?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: I'd like to think not! HAHAHA! But I do aspire to keep my work in the more beauty and fashion genres make-up wise but I will give anything a go!

:iconxehara: What would you say to someone wanting to get into body art as an artist?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: I would say, GO FOR IT! I still paint and draw loads but it's always good to try new things. If it works great! If not, move on to the next art form.

:iconxehara: Are there any tutorials on deviantArt or outside of it that you could suggest?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: I love the youtube selection by panacea81, she is one of the channel's I followed when I was trying to improve my make-up skills and found her work VERY helpful as she explains why she uses certain shapes/shades etc which is something not all tutorials do.

:iconxehara: (If applicable) What is the oddest request you've ever had?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: Uuuum I had to make someone look pink and sweaty before, which was odd as that's not usually a desired look. Hopefully someone will set me an odd challenge this year!

:iconxehara: And just for fun... How many arrests have you had?

:iconjosephinejonesmua: HAHAHAA! Thankfully none so far, but then that doesn't mean I'm an angel
