:iconxehara: What is your definition of Body Art?

:icontheworldislove: So, I guess Body Art to me means just about anything. I know that most people tend to think of body art as being tattoos (or in my case, nail art) and other artsy things of the sort, I see body art as just being.. Art. I have friends that will draw on their arms and legs with pens and sharpies (I'm guilty of this as well), and that to me is definitely body art. It really can be anything having to do with your body that's artsy and creative, and even things that aren't that creative.

:iconxehara: What kind of body art do you do?

:icontheworldislove: The kind of body art that I do is Nail Art. Just designs with nail polish, which can sort of be considered as paint if you think about it. It's art at your fingertips. :)

:iconxehara: How did you get started?

:icontheworldislove: I got started in Nail Art when I met my brother's girlfriend (who is now his wife). She was a professional and she had around 5 or six huge bins of nail polish. She was talking to me about it once, and I thought, "Hmm. That sounds fun." So I went out, got some nail pens, and just started doodling on my nails.

:iconxehara: What are your tools of the trade?

:icontheworldislove: I started out using nail pens (Sally Hansen brand) and nail polish. But recently (thanks to ~JawsOfKita-LoveHim) I've been using a syringe and dipping it into the nail polish.

:iconxehara:Do you have a signature style?

:icontheworldislove: I'm not entirely sure if I have a signature style, but I would say that I like to do more cute and cartoon-like designs than anything. Realistic designs are nice and all, but I like more adorable things.

:iconxehara: Do you have any limitations?

:icontheworldislove: At the moment, I'd say my limitations would have to be the realistic aspect of it all. I really have trouble shading things, and getting them to look realistic. The most realistic nail I've done was probably the one that resembled the Firefox browser. I did the shading pretty okay on that one. But I have trouble with it, that's probably why I like doing more adorable designs.

:iconxehara: What would you say to someone wanting to get into body art as an artist?

:icontheworldislove: To someone who wants to get into body art, I'd say follow your heart. I know it's cheesy, but there it. Pick an aspect of body art that you like, and find a style within it that you can't resist doing. Find one that you would look forward to attempting, and one that you love. If your heart's not in it, you won't be into it. If there's a style you try and don't like it, try a different one. It's about experimentation. Trial and error. But it's definitely worth trying. Not just nail art, but any type of body art. If you're interested in it, I say go for it.

:iconxehara: Are there any tutorials on deviantArt or outside of it that you could suggest?

:icontheworldislove: As for tutorials, I actually haven't looked for any. But I've seen amazing designs that people did using tutorials, so I know there are tons out there. I can't imagine that they'd be hard to find. I don't prefer to use tutorials, I just wing it. But for someone starting out, a tutorial couldn't hurt. Heck, it would most likely help.

:iconxehara: (If applicable) What is the oddest request you've ever had?

:icontheworldislove: The oddest request I've probably had so far would be mustaches. I'd love to try and do them, but I just can't seem to figure out a creative way to go about it.

:iconxehara: And just for fun... How many arrests have you had?

:icontheworldislove: I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "arrests", but if we're talking arrested (by cops) then none. But I think the word can also mean "catch and hole" (attention wise) then a few. But I'm very confused.
